The 50th Fall Fair Needs You!
On Saturday, Sept 2nd, The BowHorneBay Community Club will be hosting the 50th Lighthouse Country Fall Fair in Qualicum Bay and we need volunteers!

Tues, Aug 29th - 10am to 1pm
General clean-up around the Lighthouse Community Centre and the Lions Hall; pick up debris, wash tables, trim shrubs, sweep sidewalks
Wed, Aug 30th - 10am to 1pm
Decorate main hall, main entrance and side rooms
Set up and decorate exhibit tables
Set up volunteer room
Thurs, Aug 31st - 11:30am to 6pm
First 30 minutes is volunteer orientation
Exhibit intake - Front desk (assign numbers to exhibitors), recorder of entries and runners (take entries to appropriate tables)
Chairpersons by section (approx 8 people) to oversee entry placement for display and judging
Data entry - exhibitor information complied for judging
Fri, Sept 1st - various times
Put up outside signage
Prep site for vendors
Set up silent auction items
Set up cake walk area
Set up fencing for parking areas
Chairpersons by section - accompany judges (starts 11am)
Data Entry - tabulate winners
Prep prizes and ribbons
Decorate grounds, stage area and upper fields (later in the day)
Sat, Sept 2nd - Fair day - 6am to 6pm
Early morning set up - tents, chairs etc
Last minute signage
Parking supervision
Admission ticket sales - two locations
Other ticket sales
Visitor counter
Volunteer co-ordinators
Cake walk
Silent auction
Run zucchini races
Run nail driving contest
Photographer
Information tent - answer questions, hand out programs, lost & found
Operate golf cart to transport visitors
Garbage & recycling
Run various contests
Kid Zone - oversee various activities and work with other volunteers
Photo booths
First Aid station
End of day clean up - both halls, grounds and kid zone. Take down signage and tents etc
